Jack Curwood, also known as James Oliver Curwood, was an American author who lived from 1878 to 1927. He was known for his adventure novels set in the Canadian wilderness, often featuring wilderness survival, action, and romance. Some of his most popular books include "The Wolf Hunters," "The Grizzly King," and "The Golden Snare." Curwood was also an avid outdoorsman and spent much of his time exploring the remote regions of Canada and writing about his experiences.
